The club is planning to operate during ARRL Field Day 2016 with several stations using temporary antennas at a different place each year. This tests our ability to respond to an emergency in which supplementary communications capability is required. Last year we operated from a site near the Lloydminster Lakeland College campus. In 2016 we intend to set up at the solar power research centre on the west side of the Vermilion Lakeland College campus. We will be powering all our equipment with solar generated power.
